Interrupted normobaric hypoxitherapy (INH)

INH is a method of treatment, prevention of diseases and rehabilitation of the organism by way of breathing gas hypoxidal (with reduced content of oxygen) mixtures in an interrupted mode at normal atmospheric pressure.

The action of INH is based on facilitating protective reserves of the human organism, formation of cross (varied) adaptation of the organism to different negative internal and external effects. Adaptation to hypoxia results in improving stability of the organism to various stress factors, including alcohol, nicotine, narcotic and medical substances, poisons; physical and emotional stress; normalizes blood pressure. Antiallergy, antiradiation and antineoplastic effects are also observed.

INH is especially effective in treatment and prevention of cardio-vascular diseases: myocardial ischaemia, hypertension. At the same time hypoxia enhances the action of medical preparations, which makes it possible to reduce the administered dose of the drugs by 15-30%.

The main clinical effects of using INH in cardiological practices:

  • stable pressure decrease with hypertension patients;

  • reduction in manifestations of vegetovascular dystonia (sleep improves, physical and mental capacity for work is facilitated, irritability and fatigue are ameliorated);

  • improvement of coronary circulation and myocard trophicity with ischaemia patients;

  • the rehabilitation period of patient with infarction is significantly eased (the necrosis area is reduced, blood supply to the struck area of myocard is improved due to formation of new blood vessels), the contractile function of the myocard is restored.

Positive effect of using INH was observed with 70-80% patients in treatment of lung pathology and prevention of worsening of chronic lung diseases, primarily, chronic bronchitis and bronchial asthma (reduction in the frequency and length of worsening of the infectious process in bronchuses and upper respiratory tracts, easing breathing, bringing down the need in medical preparations).

During three years, the Center for prevention, rehabilitation and recuperative treatment (Astrakhan) conducted treatment of 218 children (3-15 years old) by the INH methods. As a result, during one year 87% of the children suffering from bronchical asthma and 86% of children who were frequently ill for a long time, as well as those suffering from chronic bronchitis, showed prolonged remission. The effectiveness of the treatment was 86.7%.

Investigations carried out by Russian and foreign scientists proved effectiveness of INH therapy in treatment of gastric and duodenum ulcers (facilitation of reparative properties of the organism, boosting of anti-inflammatory action). Effectiveness of treatment of the diseases during the worsening period reached over 90%.

High effectiveness of INH therapy was also proved in treatment of malignant tumors. The method makes it possible to reduce the negative effect of radiation treatment (with totally giving up costly medical preparations and a more favourable course of the recuperation period) and increase the total radiation focal dose by 25%.

Of particular interest is using the INH method in facilitating the vital capabilities of the organism in training athletes (efficiency of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems is boosted, delivery of oxygen to tissues is improved, the processes of energy interchange and protein synthesis are facilitated, endurance and capacity for work go up).
